Welcome to Bear Creek Church

You’ll find a warm and friendly atmosphere at Bear Creek Church that welcomes all who seek to know more about God and his son Jesus Christ. Hospitable to all ages and generations, we are committed to learning from one another and worshiping the living Christ together. Some people wear jeans and t-shirts while others wear dresses or ties. Whether you feel more comfortable dressing up for church or keeping it casual, you won’t feel out of place.

Here you can expect to hear messages that preach the good news of Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus’ life and teachings are as relevant and applicable to us today as they were then. We strive to communicate the truths of God’s word, the Bible, in a way that is equally understandable and meaningful to Christians and non-Christians alike.

Sunday-Morning Classes

Classes and Sunday School for adults, youth, and children are offered at 9:15 a.m. Our nursery is available for infants and preschoolers during this time as well. Click for information about our current Sunday-morning class offerings for adults as well as information about our children’s programs.

Worship Service

Bear Creek’s church service gets underway at 10:30 a.m., beginning with praise music and worship for all — adults and children. Ours is a blending of contemporary and traditional worship songs. After that, school-aged children are dismissed for Kids’ Church — a fun time of games and activities specifically designed to teach kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade about the God who loves them. If you prefer, we also offer a family area right in the sanctuary where kids can engage in quiet, individual activities during the service without ever leaving their parents.

Each Sunday, you’ll hear preaching that is honest, sincere and pertinent to your life. The sermons here are carefully crafted to balance both grace and truth — a deliberate effort to meet people where they are (grace) and journey with them to where God wants them to be (truth). Click here to listen to past sermons.

Certain weeks of each month have a slight departure from our normal Sunday services. On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate the Lord’s Supper (Communion) after the sermon. We invite all believers in Christ, regardless of church affiliation, to take part in this special part of the service as we honor and reflect on the sacrifice Jesus’ paid for each of us by dying on the cross for our sins.

The third Sunday of the month is our Family Sunday. Rather than leaving for Kids’ Church after our praise time, children stay with their parents for the entire service. This is a great opportunity to incorporate our children into the life of the church from a young age. There are activity bags and children’s bulletins available to keep little hands busy. Just like every other week, on Family Sundays, our Nursery is available for infants and preschool children.

We’re a next-door neighbor to Bear Creek High School and Bear Creek K–8, and are right off the Bear Creek bike trail. We endeavor to be a positive influence in our community, serving our neighbor schools in a variety of ways, and offering a food bank and clothing ministry for our neighbors in need.
