Serving at Bear Creek Church

We have many areas in which you can volunteer here at Bear Creek Church. Currently we are looking for male adult leaders to help at youth group on Wednesday evenings and adult volunteers to help our Children's Ministry on Sunday mornings.

Please contact the church office at 303-986-5511 if you are interested in serving in the Youth or Children's Ministry departments. Because both of these volunteer roles involve working with minors, you will need to fill out a volunteer application and submit information so we can perform a background check.

Lilies of the Field Clothing Ministry

Clothing is provided for the needy in our community through donations from the church family. Lilies of the Field is open from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on the second Saturday of each month.

Food Bank

Bear Creek Church serves needy families who live in our neighborhood with food staples. Our food bank is open from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on the second Saturday of each month.

Fundraising and Support

Bear Creek Church is happy to join with Second Wind Fund of Metro Denver in their efforts to prevent teen suicide. Each year, a team from the Bear Creek Church congregation participates in Second Wind's annual 5K Walk/Run that supports their valuable work in our community.

Missions at Bear Creek

As Jesus left his disciples here on earth, he gave them (and us)  this mandate:

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)

Every member at Bear Creek Church is expected to seek out ways to personally embrace this commission in their relationship with Christ. The Evangelism and Missions teams try to provide opportunities to help our congregation reach out to our local community and “to the ends of the earth”.

Bear Creek Church also financially supports 26 field staff who work on our behalf around the world. Our congregation is encouraged to become aware of the ministry of at least a few of these dear brothers and sisters, and to pray for them regularly.

Listed below are all of the partner organizations with whom our field staff are associated. The financial support of our field staff also goes to supporting these agencies. Click on the links to explore what these different organizations do around the world:
